‘Oração muda tudo’, diz Amy Grant sobre ‘recuperação milagrosa’ de cirurgia cardíaca

A cantora gospel Amy Grant testemunhou o que chamou de “recuperação milagrosa” após ter sido submetida a uma cirurgia cardíaca para corrigir um problema que carregava desde a infância.

A artista gospel – que fez estrondoso sucesso nos anos 1990 e meados dos anos 2000 – usou as redes sociais para dizer que passou por uma cirurgia no dia 03 de junho e que está em plena recuperação. Antes, ela havia comentado sua situação médica em um comunicado feito em fevereiro.

Na ocasião, após uma série de testes, determinou-se que de Amy Grant tinha retorno venoso pulmonar anômalo parcial (PAPVR, na sigla em inglês), e que a condição exigia cirurgia. Ela usou o Twitter para contar aos seus seguidores sobre seu problema de saúde e que faria o procedimento no verão.

Mesmo com a pandemia de Covid-19, a cantora de 59 anos decidiu seguir em frente com a cirurgia agendada e agora usou o Instagram para compartilhar fotos das cicatrizes. Para ela, o desafio vivido é semelhante a ser “uma não corredora que se inscreveu para uma maratona”.

Na legenda, Amy Grant agradeceu à sua família, amigos e fãs por seu apoio e orações: “Minha recuperação foi honestamente milagrosa”, escreveu. “E, por isso, quero agradecer a cada pessoa que fez uma oração por mim. A oração muda tudo”.

Em outro trecho, a veterana cantora gospel exortou seus seguidores na rede social a orarem pelos Estados Unidos por conta da atual situação social e política: “Este é um tempo louco, quebrado, mas bonito. Vamos manter essas orações em favor do nosso país e transformar todo o quebrantamento em amor e nos vermos. Eu amo vocês”, finalizou.

Amy Grant, que é casada com o cantor country Vince Gill há 20 anos, venceu seis vezes o Grammy e ficou conhecida como “rainha do pop cristão”.

Hi everybody…. I know there is so much going on in the world right now. This is a crazy, broken, yet beautiful time. And in the midst of all of that – in the midst of all of our awareness and becoming and learning to love and see each other – I’ve had this really unique experience of having an unanticipated open heart surgery. The only way I can explain my experience would be to ask you to imagine a non-runner who was signed up for a marathon. I didn’t want it, but I had to have it anyway and it was a week ago Wednesday. And as people heard about the surgery I started getting messages: “I’m praying for you” …“I’m praying for you”. People I worked with decades ago, people who have come to my concerts or listen to my music, my work family, people on social media, and my own friends and family all offered their prayers. And now, ten days later, I just want to say, from the moment I went to the hospital, if it really were a marathon race, I felt like I got into that runners block and as soon as it was time for the race to start there was this massive West Texas wind at my back.. just pushing me through. Even stuff I was really scared about felt like nothing more than just a deep breath and something supernatural pushed me through it. My recovery has honestly felt miraculous. And so I want to say thank you to each person who said a prayer for me. Prayer changes everything. Let’s keep those prayers going for our country and lets turn all the brokenness into love and seeing each other. I love you. Amy
